Instructions:
Mirror
1. Prep the mirror by painting all outside edges and the front of the mirror along the inside and outside perimeter with
black acrylic paint. Do not attempt to paint down the center edge of the wood towards the mirror itself.
2. Cut four strips of SARO1007 Tahiti paper to 3 x 10 inches (7.62 CM/76.2 MM x 25.4 CM/254 MM). Adhere two
strips of paper across two parallel sides of the mirror with dry adhesive (a tape runner). Take another strip of paper
and flip it over to the back side and place it across one of the remaining sides. With a ruler and a pen mark a diagonal
from the inside to the outside corner.
3. Flip and adhere to give the appearance of a perfect mitered corner with none of the fuss. Repeat on other side. Cut
a 10 inch square of the Floral Corner transparency (25.4 CM/254 MM).
4. Attach with adhesive strategically placed under the flowers. Add the rub-on Just Me in the lower right corner of the
mirror. Distress edges with black acrylic paint if desired.

1. Cut SARO1008 Sarong Stripe in half, cutting across all stripes to create two 6 x 12 inch pieces (15.24 CM/152.4 MM
x 30.48 CM/304.8MM). Cut white cardstock in half into two 6 x 12 inch pieces (15.24 CM/152.4 MM x 30.48
CM/304.8MM). Trim a little off the edges so that the folded pieces are slightly smaller than the cover.
2. Fold one of the Sarong Stripes and both of the cardstock pieces in half. On the front cover (Sarong Stripe) add the
rub-on word memories . Add a punch out strip of brown paisley paper from the project die cut sheet down the front
of the book to the left of the printed green stripe.
3. Cut a 6 x 6 square of SARO1006 Santorini paper. Set aside. Cut a flower out of remaining Santorini paper. Curl the
petals with your fingernail and add a silver brad to the center for decoration. Adhere to the front of the book. The two
white folded pages will nest . We will work on them in page order.
4. For the first page (the outside of one of the folded white) cut the remaining Sarong Stripe into two 6 inch squares
(15.24 CM/152.4 MM). Trim off brown stripe and set aside. Use remaining colorful stripes as a pocket. Mount large
square jotter on left over Santorini paper and add to pocket. Punch out large brown paisley tag from project sheet.
Add stapled strips of red paper (folded) for tassels to tag. Rub on the word home on the pocket.
5. For the second page (inside left of first panel) add a 2 ½ x 6 inch strip of Santorini (flower side up) (6.35 CM/63.5
MM x 15.24 CM/152.4 MM) down the outside edge. Add jotter with square brackets and rub on word family . Add
the word our from the rub sheet or in your own handwriting.
6. For the third page (second insert, front fold) - add a 2 ½ x 6 inch strip of Santorini (squiggle side up) (6.35 CM/63.5
MM x 15.24 CM/152.4 MM) down the outside edge. Cut a flower out of remaining Santorini paper. Curl the petals
with your fingernail and add a silver brad to the center for decoration. Adhere to the border.
7. For the fourth page (inside left of the second panel) attach the piece of Santorini you cut and set aside earlier
(squiggle side up) (6 inch square - 6.35 CM/63.5 MM). Add rub ons that say My Favorite Things and circle jotter.
For the fifth page (inside right of second insert) take other 6 inch piece of Sarong Stripe and cut off wide green pattern.
Turn the remaining side into a pocket. Add a punch out strip of green squiggle paper under the light green
printed stripe. Add the rub on word friends .
8. For the sixth page (back of the second insert) add trimmed brown strip down the outside edge of the page. Add a
red punch out strip alongside it. Cut a flower out of remaining Santorini paper. Curl the petals with your fingernail
and add a silver brad to the center for decoration. Adhere to the border.
9. For the seventh page (inside right of the first panel) attach the cut off strip of Sarong stripe with the red paisley
stripe up. Add wide punch out strip from project sheet with the squiggle side up next to it. Add large rectangle jotter
for journaling. Add rub on words random musings .
10. For the eighth page (back of the first insert)
add remaining half of wide punch out strip, flower side up. Add punch
out strip of brown paisley to complete. Tie ribbon through center of pages and finish with knot or bow to bind.
11. Fill this with pictures, quotes, stories from your holiday season, traditions, recipes, holiday cards or memorabilia or
your precious memories. Give these as a gift or hang the mirror in your home & leave your holiday memory book out
for others to browse through and enjoy!
