Easter Inspiration!

What a fun and funky way to celebrate Easter! We love what Emma has done here... isn't she great! Hey Chick{s}
An Easter style layout influenced by my very own ‘free range coup’.

Materials List:
Bazzill Cardstock
Scenic Route patterned papers - Sumner, Alder Avenue Sumner, Kincald Avenue, Laurel, Scrap Strip 2, Loveland, Scrap Strip, Savannah, River Walk,
Chipboard Alpha- American Crafts.
Acrylic paint
bubble wrap
glossy black card
comb
wire
buttons
embroidery thread
corrugated card
inks
garden netting
silver spray
staples
foam pads
stationary tags
card scraps

To Create:
Cut Bazzill cardstock to size. Cut bubble wrap to size, enough to cover the middle of the layout and paint with blue acrylic paint. Stamp directly onto cardstock. Paint glossy cardstock with turquoise acrylic paint and whilst still wet, scratch off the paint with a comb to reveal the black underneath. When dry, cut the card to form the sides of the ‘coup’. Mount onto cardstock with foam pads.
Tear a section of corrugated card to form the base of the ‘coup’ and ink raised area (I used white, turquoise and black ink). Mount onto layout with foam pads.
Cut three eggs shaped ovals from patterned paper. Trim two down into ‘cracked eggs’. Decorate with paper bows made from patterned paper and fix onto the front of the eggs with foam pads. Add triple matted photos behind the eggs. Mark their position with pencil on the layout and dry brush acrylic paint directly onto the layout before adding the ‘eggs’. Again, I used foam pads on the ‘cracked eggs’.
Cut leaves from the Kincald Avenue and edge with black marker pen. I also cut an elongated leaf from the reverse of Kincald Avenue. Cut flower shapes from the reverse side of Savannah, River Walk (I used Saru’s Flower Ding as a template). Add a button to centre with embroidery thread. Mount onto the layout using foam pads.
Spray garden netting with silver spray and when dry, fix with staples on top of the corrugated card to emulate chicken wire. Add lengths of embroidery thread on top and fix on the back of the layout.
Wind wire around the end of a thin paintbrush to create springs and fix to layout amongst the flowers.
Cut cloud shapes from the reverse of Alder Avenue paper. Mount onto white cardstock and doodle checkerboard effect. Trim and mount onto pink cardstock and trim again. Mount onto layout with foam pads. Add a small butterfly (print onto white card, cut out and colour with crayons from dingbat Butterfly Heaven).
Add journaling (I used and inked and torn edge scrap of white card) and title using doodle American Crafts Chipboard Thickers.

Time for a close up!

Following on with the photo introductions this is Emma, she is from sunny Lincolnshire in the UK! We don't think that Emma has a blog... but if we find out that she does we will add it in!
