Getting Creative with Mireille and Bare Essentials

Here is another project using Creative Imaginations Bare Essentials. The Netherlands very own Mireille sure does know how to rock the alterables!

"Recipe for a Family of Four"

Embossing Powder: Artemio
Perfect Medium: Ranger
Pen: Identi pen-Sakura
Decorative Tape- Prima
Paper bird- Prima

HOW TO:
For the journaling cards I inked a part of the card (where the stamp went) with light yellow ink. I stamped with Perfect Medium and poured embossing powder on the medium. Gently wipe off excess powder and heat emboss. I then covered the rest of the card with light and dark blue ink using the ink blending tool. I made a border with stickles and wrote the journaling with an identipen.

For the Tab- cards I painted them with paint dabbers first. Then I made the border with stickles. I used old boxes, tore off small parts and then tore off the upper layer to reveal the corrugated cardboard. I painted that and used a contrasting color for the edges. I used parts of my grandfathers old dictionairy (I found that emotionally a good idea since he isn't with us anymore but this is about his grandchildren and great grandchildren.) I adhered the parts of the dictionairy to cardstock, painted the pages with perfect pearls, and painted the edges.

I adhered the pictures on cardboard too and painted the edges white. I finally layered the patterned paper, cardboard, picture and dictionairy part and embellished it.

For the recipe box itself I covered that with Gesso giving it a structure, then added a second layer of Gesso mixing it with various shades of blue. I stamped it with perfect medium and added white embossing powder with a blue glow. I used borders of prima tape and stickles and used lots of grungeboard, flowers and a paper bird as decoration.
