Things I Want to Remember

Today's layout shows that the sole purpose of scrapbooking not just to preserve memories, but can serve as therapy. Rachel made a beautiful tribute layout to her Grandmother who passed away recently. The journaling reveals the special memories she wants always remember.

"Things I Want to Remember"

SUPPLIES:
Pattern Paper: Daisy Ds Maybe Baby "be mine"
Grungeboard scroll and large heart
Beige bazzill cardstock
Red, black and white poster paint
Blank and sand ink pads
Heidi Swapp clear stamp "remember"
Black embossing powder

HOW TO:
Create a journaling panel from beige cardstock, ink the edges with black ink and attach to the right hand side of the layout. Lightly ink another piece of beige card with the sand ink. While the ink is still slightly damp, stamp with the Heidi Swapp clear stamp and black ink. Sprinkle with black embossing powder and shake hard to remove the excess but allow some to remain stuck to the damp parts of the backing. Set with a heat tool and then work back over the lettering with a fine tipped brush and black and white paints. Trim down to a rectangle and ink the edges with black ink.
Paint the grungeboard scroll black and the heart red. Once dry highlight some of the edges of the scroll with white paint and a dry brush. Lightly dry brush the heart with black and once dry highlight the edges of the heart with white paint.
Assemble the elements with a photograph on your page and add the journaling to the beige panel.
