Moniek- Repurposing Packaging

I have read several times that one of the trends for 2009 will be re-use and recycle. With this in mind I recycled the package of some Heidi Swapp felt butterflies into a small valentines gift.

It’s easy to make and you can use all your leftovers!

Heidi Swapp package
Paper: Making Memories Love Notes
Rubon: Making Memories Love Notes design rubons
Letter sticker: Making Memories Paperie Rouge Shimmer alpha stickers
Organza ribbon
Chipboard heart: Scrapworks Shimmer shapes
White embroideryfloss
Brown ink
Valentine candy

How to:
Cut 8 x 11 cm from Making Memories Love Notes paper and round all 4 corners.
Ink edges with brown ink.
Cut a small strip from Making Memories Love Notes paper, ink edges and adhere.
Embroider above the small strip.
Apply rubon to the package and place letter sticker
Fill package with valentine candy and put Making Memories paper in the package.
Close package and tie with organza ribbon. Attach chipboard heart.
