Keeping Up Appearances - Taught by Carmen Morris

Instructions:
We know you came here to scrap and to play games. But we know your family and friend might expect a handmade Christmas card. So, this year, give them what they want!
In this class we will show you how easy it is to make 9 Christmas cards in a short period of time with materials you have been using the whole year with you scrapbook layouts.
The materials are listed with the cards in this handout. We tried to cut the cardstock and design paper but sometimes you will have to cut these on the right size yourself. The embellishments you have in the class kit are to embellish all 10 cards! The tools listed will be provided in the classroom and will have to be used by all of you.

Card 1 Snowflakes
Cardstock Lakeshore 15 x 22 cm
Cardstock Bazzill White 15 x 15 cm

Round punch big and medium
Fold the blue cardstock. You now have the basic card. Cut a peace of the green cardstock with a measurement of 14.5 x 10.5 cm. Then cut a piece of
the snowflake pattern with a measurement of 14.0 x 10.0 cm. Glue the snowflake patterned paper on to the green cardstock. Cut a strip of the striped
patterned paper from 5 cm. Attach this strip on to the green cardstock with the patterned paper on it. After the glue is dry you can cut the rest of. Attach
the brads in the right corner. Adhere to the basic card. Punch (or cut) a big circle and a smaller circle and attach these together. Adhere the circles
on the card. Use die cuts and stickers to embellish the rest of the card.

Card 2 Happy Holidays

Fold the pink cardstock to create a square card. This is the basic card. Cut a piece of white paper with a measurement of 14 x 14 cm. Cut a strip from
7.5 x 15 cm of the striped patterned paper and adhere this to the white paper. Cut a strip of 8 x 15 cm from the argyle patterned paper and also adhere
this to the white paper, slightly over the stripe patterned strip. Adhering 2 different stripes on a card could go wrong. By using a piece of fore instance
printer paper makes that you will have the right size. Cut 2 squares from the green and the pink design paper and tear the edges. Adhere the squares
to the card. Cut a strip of 6 x 12 cm of the poinsettia patterned paper ad adhere. Make a label and adhere this slightly over the poinsettia print. Make a
bow and adhere this on the card with double sided tape. Finish the card by placing a sentiment.

Card 3 Classic Christmas card .
Cardstock Pickle 15 x 22 cm

Fold the card in half. This is the basic card. Punch (or cut) a small circle from the green cardstock and adhere this in the middle of the blue patterned
paper. Adhere the blue patterned paper the ornamental patterned paper. Tear off a piece from the striped patterned paper and adhere this on the patterned
combination. Adhere everything on the light blue cardstock. Make a bow and adhere this on the card with double sided tape.
Finish the card by using embellishments or die cuts.

Fold the red cardstock. This is the basic card. Cut a strip of the green patterned paper from 7.5 cm. Cut another strip of the red patterned paper.
Adhere the red strip on to the green strip and adhere this piece on to the red and green patterned paper. Use double sided tape only at 3 edges
creating an insert. Make a tag and place this in the insert. Finish the card by using sentiments and die cuts.

Card 5 Most wonderful time

Fold the green cardstock in half. Cut the berry patterned paper in the measurement of 13.5 x 13.5 cm. Adhere a strip from 6 cm of the plaid patterned
paper and adhere. Cut a strip of 5 cm from the red patterned paper and adhere. Make a file folder from the gold patterned paper and
stamp December on it. Use the rest of this paper to make a strip on the card. Adhere this. Stamp a border on the red patterned paper. Adhere
the file folder on the layout. Make 1 big and a smaller circle. Decorate with stamps. Use a small piece of yellow patterned paper to make a strip on
the card. Attach a brad and adhere the layout on the card.
Variety: You can also adhere the file folder on 3 sides creating an insert were you can place a tag. If you do that make sure you don t attach the
brad through it!

Card 6 Merry Christmas
Cardstock Maraschino 13 x 30,5 cm

Printed sentiment
Fold the card on 13.5 cm. Fold the rest or the cardstock over it. You have created a matchbook. Cut a piece of the Christmas tree patterned paper
from 12.5 x 13 cm. Adhere to front. Adhere the two die cut hinges with a brad.
Cut a strip of from the striped patterned paper from 3 x 12.5 cm and adhere. Embellish the inside of the card using the rest of the patterned paper.
Place a printed sentiment to finish the card.

Card 7 December

Fold the card at 10.5 cm. If you wish you can round the edges using a punch. Cut a square from 10 x 10 cm from the green patterned paper.
Then cut a square that s slightly smaller 9.5 x 9.5 cm from the ornamental patterned paper. Make a tab and attach this to the card with brads.
Attach a piece of ribbon on to the card. You can also attach a little brad in the knot. Cut a square from 10 x 10 cm from the plaid patterned paper,
Embellish this with the month December and stickers. Make a layout of the rest of the paper using 3 strips of patterned paper from 5 cm.

Card 8 Happy holidays

Fold the card at 11 cm on the left side. Cut a peace of 10 x 12 cm of the Christmas balls patterned paper. Tear of a peace from the striped patterned
paper and adhere in de corner.
Cut a strip of from the green cardstock from 5 cm. Make a slit in it in the middle and attach 2 brads. Make 2 little tags and attach these in the slit
with a green brad.
Adorn the inside of the card with the dot and striped patterned paper and adhere the green strip of cardstock on to it. Be careful!
Do not adhere the slit because this is the closure from the card. Finish the card by stamping a sentiment on red cardstock
and placing this on a piece of green cardstock that is slightly bigger. Attach the sentiment on the card with 2 brads.

Card 9 Matchbook tag
Cardstock Maraschino 15 x 24 cm

Designpapier Rusty Pickle (3 prints!) 15 x 15 cm.

Green ribbon
Sizzlits dieset Snowflakes.
Make the base for the card by folding the right and left side towards each other. Cut of the extra cardstock to create a tag.
Punch or cut out a pink and a blue circle. Fold the pink circle in half and place it on top of the card. Place a ribbon in it.
Make 2 pieces of patterned paper of 5.5 x 10.5 cm out of the striped patterned paper. Adhere the blue circle on the left side.
Adorn the inside of the card by using the rest of the design paper.
Finish the card by adhering die cuts and stickers.
