Rachel- Treat Bucket

I don't know about you, but I will take this bucket over the candy any day! Rachel altered a plain bucket picked up at Ikea and transformed it into an adorable candy holder. This is our last Halloween project and tomorrow we are excited to start our October Afternoon spotlight!

HOW TO
Paint the metal bucket orange on the outside and allow to dry.
Paint the inside of the bucket black and set aside to dry.
Trim 2 12 inch lengths from the lace cardstock that are wide enough to cover most of the bucket (trim around stars rather than in a straight line). Ink the backs and of these two pieces using the dark brown pad. Lightly Ink the edges of the front and a few other random spots . Attach these two pieces around the bucket overlapping slightly at the sides.
Cut two 12x3inch lengths of the spider web side of the polka dot stripe paper and rep the edges. Ink the ripped edges lightly with the creamy brown ink and crumple the paper. Attach the crumpled lengths around the centre of the bucket.
Paint the chipboard circle with the green paint and allow to dry. Once dry. Light the candle and hold the circle using the pliers to keep your fingers from getting burned. Hold the chipboard over the candle and burn away the centre.
Once the chipboard has cooled attach the orange polka dot paper in the opening and draw a freehand spider web. Spritz the whole piece with the water and gently bend. Tie onto the front of the bucket with one of the trims.
Cover the outer chipboard disk with crackle accents paying particular attention to the parts where it may have cracked. Whilst still wet push the puffy alphas onto it and allow to set.
Cut 4 3 inch lengths of black wire and wrap the centres around the pins of the brad so that 4 lengths stick out either side. Trim to desired lengths and curl the ends to form the spiders legs. Arrange the legs where you want them and then cover the back of the brad with glossy accents. Pull apart and flatten the pins of the brad and set aside face down whilst the glossy accents sets.
Once set add some more glossy accents to the back and attach the spider to the front of the bucket.
Place the two eyelets face down on a suitable surface and hammer the backs flat. Attach to the pebble brad as eyes using glossy accents.
Cut several 3 inch lengths of various trims and tie around the handle.
