Halloween is over, but this project can be adapted to fit any of the upcoming holidays or even be made for general decor purposes!

Trick or treaters lantern

HOW TO
Empty the alpha tin and carefully peel al the labels away. Clean if necessary

Attach the borderlines sticker around the tin at the base.

Attach one of the border stickers from the errie elements sheet around the middle.

Use a craft knite to cut the windows away from the haunted house sticker and place over the central border at the front of the tin. Decorate the central band with the orange gems.

Inside the tin

Cover the round disk that came out of the bottom of the tin with the witches lace patterned paper.

Place the candle on the back of the patterned paper disk in the centre and draw around it. Cut out with a craft knife.

Cut a 2 inch wide strip of witches lace paper and wrap around the candle. Stick the end down and slide the candle out.

Cut half inch slits 1cm apart around one edge of the paper tube you have created and the slide the tube through the hole in the paper disk with the slits on the underside. Open the slits out and stick firmly on the back of the disc.

Fringe the top of the paper tube which is now sticking up through the hole in the paper disk and curl the fringed edge over. Attach this piece into the bottom of the tin to form a candle holder.

On the lid

Peel the label from the lid and use as a template to cut a disk of trick or treat paper. Ink the edges and edge with the orange stickles.

Attach the witch and moon sticker using sticky foam and edge the moon with the crystal stickles.

Allow to dry and then attach to the lid.

Switch the battery operated candle on and slide into the candle holder before replacing the lid.

Jessica - Baby banner & word

 

 

I made this banner for the door to my new baby's room.  As I was preparing his room, I found some old wooden puzzles that my older kids used.  However, there were a few pieces missing on the alphabet puzzle.  I didn't want to just throw it away and that's when inspiration struck.  Using papers from Scrapbook Outlet Online, I was able to make a decor item that is not only inexpensive, but is cute, fast to make, and matches perfectly with the colors of his room.  Don't know what to do with the leftovers?  Quickly cover a wooden word with the scraps to display elsewhere in the room.

HOW TO

   1. First make a template for your banner.  The cardstock triangle should measure 4.25" (10,8 cm) along the top and 5" (12,7 cm) on the sides.  The patterned paper triangles should measure 3.75" (9,5 cm) along the top and 4.5" (11,4 cm) along the sides.
   2. Adhere the patterned paper on top of the cardstock.  Outline with a black pen.
   3. Using the Fiskars Border Punch, punch a border out of matching cardstock.  Cut the strip from the cardstock, leaving about half an inch (1,3 cm) allowance.  Adhere on the back so that only the decorative border is showing.  Do this to all three sides of your triangle.
   4. The rosettes are easy to make.  Cut a 1" x 12" (2,5 cm x 30,5 cm) strip from patterned paper.  Make a small accordian fold along the length of the strip (like your folding a fan).  Glue one end to the other end, making sure to match up the folds.  When you do this, your shape will be a cylander.  Match up the top of your cylander and push down to form  your rosette.  Once you have your flower, adhere a small piece of cardstock to the middle of the flower on the back side.  This will help retain it's shape.
   5. Adhere your alphabet to the center of each rosette.  Adhere rosette to banner.
   6. Adhere ribbon to the top of each triangle.
   7. Punch a hole in the corner of each triangle. Using ribbon, tie a knot to string together your banner.
   8. Display with pride.  :)

How to:
Follow the instructions for the box as per this link on my blog.
This is a template i designed myself so feel free to use it as you wish but please link back to where you got the instructions.  
Here is a link to the single and double measurements. 

The little houses were simply rectangles cut from chipboard.
Pop some dst onto the board and cover with the Eskimo Kisses paper.
The roof was made from a simple rectangle of cardstock scored down the middle and again covered with patterned paper.
Simple squares cut from cardstock and patterned paper are added to represent a door and windows.
I used spray adhesive to cover the whole house (mine as well as this little one!! ;) ) with fine glitter - it adds that finishing Christmas touch.

How to:
Step 1: Cut a long piece of ribbon to make the basic and make some fabric bow with a elsie expoy sticker

Step 2: Pick three bo bunny frames and put some paper on it and cut out of the paper…

Step 3: 1st ghost sticker doodlebug and some clouds of orange paper and a eye sticker on the ghost …2nd the word boo and some grass of orange paper. Put a spider in it and a pumpkin face.
The 3 a droopy line of orange paper and ribbon and the pumkin faces in the middle and at last the flower with an eye on it

How to :
Take a sturdy cardboard (eg from box), which use as the background, about 30 to 15 cm.
Take a black card stock, 2 pieces in different sizes (slightly smaller than the cardboard). Irregular cut edges and decorate the edges with orange glitter. These 2 pieces stick together with 3D tape.
Edit them further with various embellishments. For large black flower , take rounds in different sizes, just cut around. Then make a incision to the middle of each rounds. Then slide them all to together . Edit the edges by folding them softly. The skull is cut with MM cartridge Just Chillin , then pasted with the green glitters.
From black and orange crepe paper, take a strip, and make notches so that arised a fringe . Tape them together and then fixed on the cardboard at the back.

How to:
Paint the house in black, especially into the house.
Then cover it with papers and ribbons. Use a Fiskars punch to make a cute border for the roof.
Cut a little door and add a little brad to make the handle. Adhere it into the house, then draw a little ghost, and glue it behind the wall.
Cut a square on a black cardstock, and put the house into, to make a black ground.
Cut a circle on a black cardstock, and add the word “boo!!” Outline the letter with a white pen. Cut a little picture of a scary heath of death into the Doodlebug paper and glue it next to the word. Then, add it on the chimney.
Cut some pictures on the doodlebug papers and attached them on the roof with a thread.
Then, to make the house scarier, add a false spider web everywhere.

How to:
This album screamed Pumpkin to me! 
I tried in so many ways to make it a simple transformation into a round pumpkin but it only looked realistic once i carved it up and gave it one of those simple Pumpkin smiles :)  

I simply cut into the bottom of the book and then covered the outside in Bazzill cardstock.   Following the lines of the teeth i sketched peach ink in arches to give it a more rounded look.

The pages were really thin and there were so many of them that i thought it would look better as a bulkier album.  I stuck together 4 pages at a time and then covered them in the different sheets of paper.  Ink the edges as you go.  The eyes and nose were cut from the patterned paper and adhered to the front of the album with double sided tape.

The album is blank inside apart from the fabulous patterned papers and ready to be worked on with photos from this years Halloween party :)

How to :
Create a cylinder with Hambly Prints, stick him with a double-sided tape. For the beautiful edge finish,  paste a slip of paper out in the length of the duct. Paste a felt branch on it. Decorate it with a flower and an owl. Owl is made with the MM slice. All paper figures are made with MM Design Card Just Chillin’ Teen (flour, death cup, owl and letters).
The bottom edge is covered with a felt strip, which I first cut all in, it looks the grass

Paint the chipboard branch orange and edit them with black ink. Bend it slightly so it fits on the tube, stick them  with  3Dtape
For a bird cage: the designation is used on ... paper, cut them out. Glue slightly the bird with  and smooth it, then straw it with the glitters . Allow to dry. One tip, do this step first.

To every letter cut twice, one on gray cardstock and other on dessin paper.

The tombstone itself is signed by the first small sign on gray card stock, cut them out and take that pattern on the black card stock and draw him bigger, then cut again. Together with 3D stick tape. For letters see above. (take gray instead of black card stock)

In this paper, there are circles cut in 2 different sizes. Together with 3D stick tape. Fill they  in the blank spots, even with the flowers. The flower buds: cut small circles from orange velt.

For safety take a waxlight with battery.

I decided to make my daughter a journalling book about her secondary school she will be attending next year. I think this will be treasured for a long time as she will be able to do her own journalling to preserve her own memories

cover:
1 start off by covering your album inking all of the edges once glued into place
2 cut three strips of different sized patterned papers ink edges and place to the bottom of the cover as shown leaving a gap at the top to place torn pages out of a dictionary
3 stain the pages using chalk cat eye ink add a little paint splodges for more effect to torn pages
4 add paper clips to hold where your photo will be mounted  top right hand side
5 add painted chipboard lettering and embellishments to finish off the cover using 3d gel pens on title

page 1:
1 cover the page using patterned paper ink around the edges
2 stamp an image to the right hand side  layer three different patterned papers over the top as shown tearing and stitching the top of the piece of paper as shown
3 cut the pattern out of the paper only glueing the bottom and sides leaving to open like a pocket then add stamped journalling cards inside to the bottom left hand side of page
4 cut the flourish out of the patterned paper glue into place adding the prima flower and stamped butterfly's
5 using black paint slightly sweep the brush to get the effect as shown add lettering to complete the page

page 2:
1 cover the page with patterned paper then ink the edges using the fancy pants stamp stamp the image to the bottom right hand side of the page
2 layer two strips of patterned paper as shown
3 using the chipboard bracket out of the album pack paint black and place as shown curl title around this add tag in the centre
4 add embellishments and letters
5 for the photo book cut a strip of patterned paper 5cm wide make even folds and leave enough remaining  to fold over to close it glue into place add letters and clip to keep it closed as shown

page 3:
1 cover the page with patterned paper ink all the edges
2 stamp image to the top left hand side of paper layer two different strips of patterned paper as shown
3 add painted chipboard border to the bottom of the papers
4 using 3d foam pads mount the paper where the photos will go cut a strip of patterned paper pleat and curl around the bottom adding felt and a button as shown
5 add lettering and embellishments

page 4:
1 cover the page with patterned paper using a pencil and ruler draw a square cut the square out of the chipboard using a craft knife repeat this with the other chipboard cover to give you a secret pocket with depth add chipboard to the back of this to make it sturdy
2 make a transparency cover mist the edges once dry  add hinges to hold it into place
3 add the patterned paper to the transparency as shown hiding the compartment
4 finish off by adding title and embellishments

Debbie - Halloween Candle Favour Bags

How to:
I bought a large pack of these spice scented candles and thought they would be great as a little grown up treat goodie bag after our Halloween Party.  The kiddies love sweets but whats nicer for an adult than some smellies :)

Cut strips of bazzill the same width as your cellophane bags and punch the bottom edge with the drippy goo punch.  For decoration i adhered a strip of the Gomez paper to a darker shade of bazzill and inked the edge.  This was then place in the centre of your drippy goo bazzill.

I popped 3 of the candles into a cellophane card bag and folded them in half.  Place the folded card over the top and punch 2 holes with the cropodile.  Thread your ribbon through this and it will hold it all in place :)

How to:
I covered the biscuit tin with orange bazzill cardstock. I then added a strip of Pugsley paper around the middle and fastened it in place with double sided tape.  Ontop of this i then added a strip of the American Craft ribbon and finished the centre off with a rosette made from one of the Rusty Pickle Halloween Stickers, the edges were inked and it was mounted onto crinkles Morticia paper.

I punched 2 strips of the Uncle Fester paper with the drippy goo punch and adhered those to the top and the bottom of the tin. This was then finished off with a little strip of the Morticia paper.

The lid was covered in co ordinating papers and finished with a spooky halloween sticker, again from the Rusty pickle range.

The candles were simply covered with a strip of the Uncle Fester paper and one of the little pop out images inserted into the space between the candle and paper.  **this would need removing before the candle is lit**
The last candle was given a little collar using the Fancy Pants buttons.  I simply threaded the buttons with coloured jute and fastened it at the back of the candle.

How to:
This was one of those simple diy projects where there is more fun than work.  All you do is place the house together and choose your papers, since Eskimo Kisses is so versatile and such a gorgeous range there really is free scope to use whichever papers you wish!
I used one of the cardstock stickers as the fluting on the chimney and around the windows.  The trees around the bottom of the house are from one sheet of patterned paper. The trees face both ways on the paper so once you cut the zigzag around the first lot all you need to do is turn your paper around and you have another section of trees ready cut!

Simple!

HOW TO
The idea is to use a canvas on the back... Use the "hole" to create à frame...Adhere papers inside it and on the edges (on the wood). Cut border with a punch ( the scalloped border is so nice!)
Mat your photo with patterned paper and adhere it on the background inside the frame (use 3D foam).
Add embellishments (buttons, flowers, stickers...) and glitter. Write your title with alpha stickers...At least, add a little "pet" on the edge of the canvas. Have fun!!

1 cut a large square and place onto your bag ink ing the edges

3 cut the flower flourish and add cut flower placing the prima flower inside

4 complete by adding the letters

HOW TO
Starting inside the box attach a long line of scrapbooking tape around the box front to back. Continue on to the lid, wrap onto the underside and trim off and secure.

Create a second line of tape that crosses this in the bottom left corner of the lid, again, starting and finishing on the underside.

Cut around the scalloped edging from two of the journaling notes and attach inside the scrapbooking tape border,

Tear a rough circle from one of the journaling notes and place grid side up on the table. Crumple the edges upwards and edge with stickles. Allow to dry.

Cut a length of wire and thread with buttons. Twist the ends together and bend into a heart shape. Layer the heart and circle over the point on the lid where the borders cross and layer the prima flowers and gem in the centre.

Cut the bird on the flower from one of the journaling notes and attach coming from behind the paper circle.

Use the black stazon to stamp the sentiment on the other side of the box lid and highlight the text once dry with the white pen.

how to:
The box comes from making memories. It contained embellishments.The idea is to cover all the faces of the box but leave a little place on the boards. You can adapt this project to all kind of box you can find. Use the box to measure all its faces and cut papers a little bit more small. then adhere all papers on the box inside and outside. Decorate the top with embellishements of your choice and adhere the title.

HOW TO
Take this pattern, you can copy to your device dimensions. Note that the notches are often not correct. Just apply and measure.
Because I have chosen a larger piece, you will have to use 2 pieces of craft paper. Then you take half of the pattern on one paper. First, the fold lines fold then glue.
Edit it further to your own ideas. Use a crop a dile a hole in top flaps, stitch ribbon through. Hang out a tab.

The front and back are completely covered with yellow cardstock and then layered with inked and torn papers.

The tags are simply cream cardstock cut to size, edged with ink and finished with a rub on and strip of ribbon.

Tucked inside the sleeves are small labels which can be written on to say which section of the pad is coming up next. This was just a piece of the double sided patterned paper cut to size and a journal block adhered front and back.

Ribbon was threaded through the back cover and looped around the front to fasten it all closed.

Summertime Gift Box

Miscellaneous: Glue Dots, Wooden Skewers, Black Marker, Black Pen, Recycled Box from We R Memory Keepers, pink ink

HOW TO

First, I emptied a box that held chipboard letters from We R Memory Keepers.  I liked the seethrough window in the front.

Adhere your patterned paper to the box, measuring and cutting out a square for the window.  Edge the paper with pink ink.

To make the pinwheels:  Cut various sized squares.  Fold each side diagonally and at each corner, cut about halfway to the middle.  Fold alternating sides down toward the middle, securing with a glue dot.  Adhere a rhinestone in the middle of each pinwheel.

With a black marker, color the wooden skewers, then cut down to size.  Tie a ribbon, then adhere to the front of the pinwheels.

Free hand draw grass, cut out, and stagger along the bottom of the box. 

Add a summer theme rubon to the window.

Lastly, fill your box with summertime treats, like snacks, drink mixes for your water bottle, etc.
