For the next week, we have a company from Australia that specializes in using real wood for their albums and embellishments. Their lines are constantly expanding and the designers have a week full of gorgeous projects to showcase a few things they have to offer.

HOW TO
Start painting all the pages of your album after it's dry you can sand the edges taking away some paint if you like.
And then the main thing is just to have bits and pieces to decorate as you wish.
For the skulls I painted in white and with a brown stamp pad I just made it looks a little distressed.
There really are no secrets on this one.
Just play around with your Kaiser supplies and have tons of fun :)

Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist

Today we start our spotlight on a fairly new product, Glimmer Mist. Lucy starts us off with a fun project using some of their Stencils along side the Glimmer Mist.

IRL

Using the Glimmer Mist to create a background for your projects is really easy. On this layout I placed some of the Fanciful Stencils on my cardstock and then sprayed the mist on it. Let it dry and then with a fine sharpie, outline all the swrils twice. Then you can just play with your layout as you usually do. Have fun!

Lucy- Poppetology

Today's little project is one of the cutest things I've seen in a long time. Lucy taught this "Poppetology" class at the Scrap-A-Ganza event last month. Everything is cut and pieced together using patterned paper (including the curtains!). The fireplace logs are made out of cinnamon sticks. The ornaments on the tree are simply glue dots with the "Stix 2 Anything" foil on top.

HOW TO
Cut some strips of October Afternoon papers, distress and roll with your fingers, smash, make a ruffle and place all around your picture.
Then from the Depot Park paper cut out some flowers and place it down on the bottom of your photo.
Add some HS flowers and paisleys on the sides of the OA flowers.
And what I did with the HS chipboard...I peeled of the top layer of it so I had some extra shapes and the I painted it with the MM pearl paint.
I hand made the wing and used the 3d foam sticker to adhere it.
Get some little chipboard flowers from HS peeled it too and add a little brad on the centers.
Found the perfect place for it and I was happy.
Now it's your turn to make a magical LO.

HOW TO
Start painting a border on your photo with a tooth brush.
Then distress the MM paper and roll it with your fingers in one corner.
Attach the pic to it.
Add some scraps of brown paper bag behind the MM paper.
Using some rubons and stickers make a different kind of journaling on your journaling spiral paper giving it a funky way to add your toughts.  Leave a space on the bottom to hand write some more things if you like. Add it behind the photo leaving part of it outside.
Then from 5th av paper Elizabeth berries cut out some brunches and add on the side of your photo.
Add some stickers on the bottom and the title.

HOW TO
Crumple some strips of patterned paper, add to the background and sew it down.
Then all you have to do is add the photo and embellish it all around as you wish.

HOW TO
First I used a tooth brush to paint the background.
Then get the patterned papers and crumple it strech it back and add to the background.
From the foyer dots paper I drew a bracket that you can use this template if you don't have any.
Glue it down on your background and leave an open space so you can add the tags behind the papers embellish it with Chatterbox icons and brads.
Add your photo.
Add your title.
Here I did put some of the letters on the top of each other to create dimension.

HOW TO
Add a square about 10x10 cm from the hambly brick wall on the right corner of your background, then mat your photo, add some bits around the photo and make a waterfall of flowers coming all the way from the top down to the photo.
For the flower centers I used the dots and stars from the AC thickers and doodled it with a black pen.
Add some tags for journaling and a epoxy sticker.
Put the name's initial in one corner.
Add your title on the top of Love Elsie sheet of card board from the rub ons.

Lucy- MY MIND'S EYE

This week we are featuring My Mind's Eye, a wonderful company with gorgeous coordinating papers and embellishments. Lucy jumpstarts the week with a fun layout featuring the 29th Street Market Collection.

A B&W photo that you can cut around the silluet.
Black pen and a clored pen.

HOW TO
Start this project crumpling the brown bag paper and stitch it with your sewing machine but if you don't have one you can either hand stich or just glue it like you usually do.
Then add the doily, this will give a romantic feeling to your project.
Now work your photo, here I used the silhouette of my sugar daughter then I colored her dress and cheeks and made some wings and crown to give this photo a magical feeling.
Then I cut a piece of patterned My Mind's Eye paper and added the photo there with 3d foam stickers to add dimension.
Now cut ramdom strips of MME 29th street market collection and sew it down.
Now using the floral paper I cut out some flowers and added it to one side along with some buttons making something like a bouquet.
Make a bow and put on the end of your flower's bouquet.
Add the title and here you have another girly girl LO.

HOW TO
Around the photo, add some bits of the papers making a frame.
Make a paper bow.
Cut out some butterflies and flowers and embelish it around.
For the flowers just crumple your paper, finish it by adding a bling brad from MM.
The little grass under the flowers is made with masking tape.

HOW TO
Start by chooing a photo (not to big) then cut a little piece of cardboard to mat it.
Paint the cardboard with acrylics with just few strokes.
The cut a strip from the Sonoma collection about 10x25 cm.
Get some bits of paper to complete the frame.
Add some ribbon and lace.
Cut out some flowers and leaves and embellish it under the pic on the side of your ribbon.
Journal and add your title.
You can add some staples if you like.

Lucy- Love **TECHNIQUE WEEK**

We start a new week here on a Daily Inspiration and we are going to showcase different techniques for your layouts and projects. Today Lucy shares a gorgeous layered look by cutting out the flowers found on the BasicGrey "Sugared" line. By bending each individual flower and layering them, she adds dimension and a pop of color to her layout.

HOW TO
First distress the edges of your photo using the Heidi Swapp distressing tool.
Place it on the frame.
Cut a strip about 12 cm from a basic grey patterned paper, make some free hand scallops that follow the pattern of the paper and place it over your background.
Choose a BasicGrey floral paper and cut out the flowers and leaves.
Place it in one side of your photo and curl the ends of various flowers and leaves up for added dimension.
Add vintage buttons and a small title (Love) and it's ready to rock.

Lucy- Mini Pianist Me **MONOCHROMATIC**

Our poor designer Lucy broke her hand a few days ago! Lucky for us she sent this gorgeous monochromatic layout before the horrible event happened. On this layout, Lucy only used one color of cardstock to create a self-named "ghost emboss." Be sure to read her how to and learn this really cool technique.

HOW TO
You'll need at least 3 sheets of the same color. I used lime green, however you can choose any color you like.
Start by cutting a piece of your background 5 cm long and 5 cm high.
Then get another sheet of cardstock of the same color and cut strips of 5 cm.
I used my Quickuts but any punch or die-cut machine will work.
I used some hearts to make a border.
Then I cut some flowers and circles to embellish.
All in the same shade of paper to create the "ghost emboss" kind of feeling...I just came up with this name...LOL
The title I used Quickutz as well.
Put it all together with some brads and buttons.
Now I dare you all to do the same, just remember do not use any other shade or patterned paper to create this "Ghost"effect.
You'll be surprised with the results!

Lucy- Flower Vase **HOME DECOR**

Yesterday was our last day of our KI Memories spotlight. I hope you enjoyed viewing our creations. This week we are going to have another change in our format. We are offering ideas for home decor! Lucy starts us off with handmade flowers displayed in a cute felt pocket turned into a vase.

HOW TO
Cut some flowers from the papers. I used the Quickutz and free-hand circles.
Now all you have to do is to put a button on the top of your flower and then pass the wire trough the buttons and the flower.
Twist the wire a little and cover it with the green paper.
Make a bouquet and add to the felt pocket.
I added a ribbon and a little tag on the "vase."

Sometimes making a quick and easy album is the way to go. Today, Lucy shares a bright mini featuring vacation photos. The brightly colored photos from Curacau match Lucy's style perfectly!

HOW TO
Pick the hightlight photos from a trip.
For the spine on the cover I used the Love, Elsie fabric paper to make it is strong enough. Add some rubons on it.
For each page of this mini album, you will use a standard size photo on one side and embelish the other page.
Also, use the index photos for a cute cluster.
To keep the book shut, I used a hair band.
There are no special techniques involved in this album. The purpose is to make a quick mini to keep your memories alive.

HOW TO
Start by painting the paper from the book.
Water the paint down so it reveals the writing from the page.
Cut a bracket shape from the polka dot paper to make a mat for your photo.
Crumple and wrinkle the silk paper as well with the book paper and place it on your background.
Now you just need to cut some flowers shapes. I used my Quick Kutz but you can just trace it with a pencil and handcut.
Add some stickers as your center for the flowers.
Get some journaling block and add your journaling. I used a black marker because it is the best thing to write with on slick surfaces.
You can glue the felt chandelier with contact glue or fabric glue.
Place your title as you wish.

HOW TO
Let's concentrate on one corner of the page. Choose a side and start working with the paint.
I paint with my fingers here, because it's fun! LOL
Then the main secret is to add some small photos.
The you'll embellish all around the photos with rub ons, scraps of Luxe Designs papers, and some of the cute softies from KI Memories.
Punch some circles and make a half border for your photo using the pink ledger paper.
Then add some journaling blocks. Here I did my top five songs for this summer.
Now you have a bright and fun Lo to remember the songs from 2008!

Lucy- Door Hanging

HOW TO
Cute a piece of a card box and then peel the first layer of the brown paper.
My tip is to add some water on the top it make it easier to peel.
Add the gesso and the acrylic paint and scrub it with a napkin.
Let it dry.
Meanwhile you can "destroy" the heart mini book (you do not always need to use materials in it's original form).

Cover two of the hearts with a patterned paper.
Now if the gesso isn't dry yet you can speed up the process using your heat gun.
Once it's dry you can add the vintage music sheet making a background.
Wrinkle the paterned paper put a piece of lace under it and add to the top of the card board.
Cut some circles from the paterned papers and wrinkle it, make 5 or 6 layers of circles. Glue each other together, make a tube with a brown paper for the stick and free hand cut some leaves.
Now add the lace and ric rac on the bottom.
Put your glue gun to warm up.
Glue the flowers and the hearts using the glue gun.
Add the title and the bird.
Make two holes and add a lace on it so you can hang on the wall or on your door.

HOW TO
Cut one strip from the Botanic paper about 7 cm and one strip from the green paper to place on the side of your photo.
Then cut a long strip for the top (about 3.5 cm).
Doodle it with a back pen and cut around making a frame.
Cut bits and pieces of papers and embelish all around your frame. Then embelish on the top of the layers with some rub ons, buttons, brads and ribbon to complete the frame.
Add your title and voilá!

HOW TO
Start by using the gesso on your background.
While the gesso is still wet, add some drops of alcohol ink and brush it with a soft paint brush and leave on the side to dry.
Using the gesso, cover your butterfly with it too. Allow to dry. I didn't paint it, I left it white.
It doesn't matter the color of the felt you have because you can always paint it. In this case I had a blue one, however, I wanted it in black. So I used MM acrylics, painted my felt in black and speeded up the drying with my heat gun.
Leave on the side.
Meanwhile you can do these flowers that originally I've learned from Katya. Check out her blog for the flower tutorial.
Now you can cut the flower shape from bazzill in half and doodle the border.
Get a piece of Taylor paper and make it wrinkled. Place it with the picture on the top of your layout.
Everything should be dry by now and you can stary placing things on your background.

Write your journaling using the MM mini shimmer alpha stickers.
Add some bling bling on your butterfly wings and place it on the side of your photo.
I used HS foam Alpha to use mine and Corinne's initials under the butterfly.
Place your heart for a little journaling, trace around with a black pen.

Lucy sure does know how to make a baby layout fresh and funky! Today's layout features one of the new stacks, Nana's Nursery, from Die Cuts With a View.

HOW TO
The photo measures 15x10 cm.
Place it over a piece of baby paper (like a mat) about 22x12cm, cut a strip of white paper about 3x12cm and add it on the side of the patterned paper.
Cut a strip from the same collection about 30,5 long and add it to the bottom and a small one 11x2cm crossing the white paper.
Embellish it as you like.

First place your photo in a piece of PP then trace it from the back side a house shape and cut.
Make a roof with other PP.
Cut off some swirls and embelish.
