Jess- My Mind's Eye

I made this cute little countdown calendar for my pregnancy. At the time, I did not know if I was having a boy or a girl, so I tried to mix pinks and blues for an ambiguous effect. I do know now (it's a boy!), but the colors are still fitting.

23 Weeks to Go!- A Pregnancy Countdown
by Jessica Summers

SUPPLIES
Paper- My Mind's Eye: Penny Lane Feeling Groovy "No Worries," "Uniquely You." Free Bird "Passion."
Die Cuts- My Mind's Eye: Penny Lane
Clipboard- Creative Imaginations Jumpo Scallop Square
Chipboard- Heidi Swapp Metallic Shapes
Brads- Making Memories "Flower Patch" combo pack
Stickers- Making Memories, Heidi Swapp, American Crafts
Mirror- Heidi Swapp
Paint- Claudine Hellmuth Studio Paints Charcoal Black, Blank Canvas
Ink- Ranger Brights "Pool," "Raspberry."
Felt- Fancy Pants
Die Cut Template- The Crafters Workshop: Cosmo
Glitter: Ranger Stickles

HOW TO
Cut 2 pieces of patterned paper, the first at 8.25"x8.25" and the second 8"x8". Distress the edges with your scissors, then add coordinating ink.

Paint a few of the Heidi Swapp flowers white. Once dry, add Stickles. Set aside to dry.

Using a Crafters Workshop template, cut out a scalloped circle out of a solid color paper. Layer (using foam) a 4.25" circle cut out of patterned paper. Punch a hole through the center of a circular flower die cut and attach a felt arrow with a brad. Layer on top of circle using foam.

Attach number stickers for the countdown.

Stagger chipboard flowers, cutting a couple in half to a layered look. Add brads to the middle of the larger flowers for dimension.

Add your title. I wanted all of my letters to match, so I used Studio paints and painted them all black.

Emma- **CRATE**

After a brief recess due to Scrap-A-Ganza, we are back to finish our Crate spotlight. At the end of the week, we will have projects from the SAG retreat to share with those who did not make it to the event.

Magic Moments
by Emma Trout

SUPPLIES
Bazzill cardstock
Patterned papers: Crate Paper (Prudence) - Charity, Discretion, Temperance.
(Avenue Collection) Style, Simple
Crate Paper Prudence accent rub-ons
Alphas- American Crafts Thickers (Platforms)
Basic Grey white choc chip (Beckham)
Heidi Swapp rub-ons (apple pie)
Doodlebug Simply Sweet (lily white)
Basic Grey designer rub-ons (cream)
Crafters Workshop template (dots and circles)
Big Bite (We R Memory Keepers)
Heidi Swapp small ghost clock face
Versa Colour ink (pinecone)
White pen- Ranger Inkessentials
Eyelets, brads, gems, flat back pearls, photo anchors, sequin waste, mesh, chalks, acrylic paints, sponge.

HOW TO
Glue the charity paper to the right of layout and trim excess (I set eyelets around the edge before adding to layout). Mark the position of the large circle of holes from the crafters Workshop template in the centre of layout and lightly sponge cream paint around this arc. Set clumps of eyelets using the Big Bite, brads, gems and flat back pearls.
Sponge blue acrylic paint in the centre of the circle. Apply a large rub-on that ‘threads through’ the eyelet/gems frame.
Arrange and circles, rectangles and torn pieces of patterned paper under your photo and glue in the centre of the layout. Apply another cream rub-on around the outside of the “Charity” circle. Apply grey chalk through sequin waste holes on the background Bazzill cardstock.
Apply Crate Paper accent rub-ons and the Heidi Swapp ghost clock to coloured paper, trim and add to layout. Add photo anchors with a brad and pearl to clock to form ‘hands’.
Add doodling details, mesh, painted corrugated card and a paper bow.
Finish with the title and journaling.
