HOW TO
For floral pattern with birds, I have used a card that has a die cut front. I have used this as a mask, with white paint on paper Blue Nights, then I cut it out.
From the paper "Calming Moon" I have teared out a piece of paper and pasted on the "African Nectar." The flowers are cut with Cricut, cartridge Home Accents, from this paper: Palace Blue and Blue Nights.
Large letters from Green Tea paper and card stock.
Then finally processed with the stamps, 2x on the card stock.

HOW TO

For the center piece, take from Chloe Lynn, only the right side, with the tree and owls on them. For the serrated finish cutting a narrow strip from the left side of the same paper. Then paste it on the right piece, to the left. The edges are edited with the stamp.

Then you have 4 pieces, fit together with the middle section. Edit them further with various things and pictures. One of the four pieces I made from a tag. Cut these tag in 2 parts, then slide them over each other to an appropriate size. Only adhere on the sides, so you can slide journaling card or similar to it. Further modify with a substance, seal and ribbon.
The letters are made with cricut - Cartridge Base Camp.

For too much fun on the middle part, I have done this:

The small flowers, I cut out from Plie and adhere it on the small circles.

Put all the pieces together with a pieces of fabric and attached to a branch, which I first got painted white.

HOW TO

First cut out various flowers using a Sizzix. Apply a coat of glue to a few of the flowers and sprinkle with glitter. Set aside to dry.

Spray bottom and top corner with Glimmer Mist and allow to dry.

Adhere photo to the back side of one of the American Crafts patterned paper and hand draw scallops around the photo. Cut out and adhere to middle of layout.

Layer the flowers and arrange them so they flow down the page. Nealty outline some of the flowers with a black pen. Bunch up the petals for more dimension. Using a thin strip of scrap paper, make tight coils for the floral centers.

HOW TO
For the background use the paper "Leaves Crunching." Cut the houses from paper Cozy Home . Paste these pieces of paper on New Pencils. Order them from top to bottom on the right side.
Clouds, a large and 3 small white, cut out from paper Picking Pumkins. Pull stitching lines on the white clouds with a fine brown liner. Paste a strip pictures on old paper.
Paste the first large cloud, then the photos. Adhere the small clouds with 3D tape, one on the image.
Make a strip of paper from Cozy Home and add it just about the photos. Make the lines with the fine liner. Then continue to embellish with thickers and letters. For extra accents, I have cut letters from paper Chilly Mornings with CRICUT (lettertype Base Camp, size 1.5-inch). For one letter O, I have use the inside of other O.

HOW TO

First paint your chipboard white; set aside to dry.

Using the Cricut and the Jasmine cartridge, cut 7 diamonds, ranging in size. Cut in half to resemble a banner. Use Rubons to spell out "Happy Birthday." Secure on the embroidery thread using brads.

Back the circle with patterned paper. Embroider around the chipboard. Attach the banner to the chipboard and adhere to your layout.

Attach your photos, using foam squares for your main photo.

Adhere the fun felt in the open space. Outline carefully with a black marker.

Using a pen, curl the bottom of various pennant pieces to add more dimension.

Jessica- **MY MIND'S EYE**

If you are like me, you are probably behind on your scrapping. I can never seem to catch up! Occasionally I will do a layout filled with small photos from the month. By doing this, I at least have a page done with all the important events and I can always go back in later to rescrap some of the photos onto seperate layouts. I chose to scrap about our first Christmas holiday in Germany and all of the different things we saw and did.

HOW TO

First start by editing a batch of photos from a month's period. I used Photoshop Elements 5 to group the photos, adding a 10 pt white border. I stacked the photos to save time. After I printed it out, I cut around the outside edge (rather than cutting out and gluing each individual photo).

Use a die cut paper as a template and cut a snowflake to put under your photos. Outline the edges and adhere to your cardstock.

Adhere your photos on top, using pop dots for more dimension.

The Opposites Attract Cartridge was used to cut out the letters on the Cricut.

Add your journaling around the photos.

Jessica- Teacher's Survival Kit

Next month, my little girl will begin pre-kindergarten. Her teacher will be coming over to our home prior to school starting for an initial meeting. As a present, I made (with a little help from my daughter Anberlin) a "teacher's survival kit." It is filled with 2 mini tag albums. Each individual page has a small positive reminder.

HOW TO
I altered a box that held a set of blank cards for this project. Cover each side individually with paper, trim excess with a craft knife. To get your paper edge closer to the box's edge, run sandpaper along the sides. This will distress your paper, but also get rid of any small excess.
For the tree, first stamp the trunk with the Ranger Perfect Medium and emboss gold powder onto it. Then cover the "leaves" part with a piece of green felt. The contrast of the two will give it more dimension.
Thread each individual button, the adhere using a strong glue dot. The tags were cut using a Cricut, then the edges distressed with Tea Dye ink.
Each tag reads:
-A rainbow to remind you that after every storm there is a calm and a star to remind you to shine!
-An eraser to remind yourself that everyoe makes mistakes. That's ok; we learn by our errors.
-Clothespins to help you "hang in there."
-Candles for those days wen you feel you need to light a fire under you students.
-Tea bags to remind you to take time to relax daily.
-A gift to remind you that your students are a gift to you and you are a gift to them.
-A puzzle piece to remind you that without you, things would not be complete.
-Animal cookies for when your classroom seems like a zoo.
-Smiley faces to remind you to wear a happy face.
-Rubber gloves for when you need a helping hand.

The tags are then decorated with various Jolee's embellishments and other things from my stash.

Our lovely designer Kirs is on a holiday, so she whipped out this little number before she left! She used lots of Love, Elsie to help convey the colors of summer.

HOW TO

As the background, I used Claire/Diary. For a week calendar on this page, cut it out of the Claire-Sleepover. Then decorate it with all the Elsie embellishments. The letters are made by Cricut, using the embossed paper. Once the letters have been cut, lightly go over the embossed parts with ink. This will help make the embossed items stand out more. And for the fun detail : use the page protector for the visitcards and cut out a strip (I used 3 boxes, more is ok too).

Mireille- Vierluik

Mireille made this wallhanging for her mother. She has pictures of her grandchildren everywhere but nothing coordinating. This wallhanging is pretty dimensional so she added several pictures from different angles. As part of the background, Mireille used a very old dictionairy that belonged to her grandfather. It was from 1935 and a way to incorporate his memory with the great grandchildren.

HOW TO
I put a coating of Gesso on the blank memoboards, after drying I added a second layer of Gesso and while that one was still wet I added paint (blue for the 2 boy's and purple for the two girls)
I painted the two small wooden hearts blue and the two butterflies purple.
I ripped pieced of cardboard from a box, peeled of the upper layer and painted it white.
I painted two crowns blue and two crowns purple. after drying I coated them with glitterglaze, added lines with stickles and used the hotfix to add some bling.
I cut 4 rectangles from the dictionairy, adhered them to cardboard and then painted them with perfect pearls using purple and blue perfect pearls. (mixed it with water and then used it as a paint to give it a soft shimmer)
The wings are Heidi Swapp stamps, and I also painted them with perfect pearls. Outlined the wings as well as the dictionairy rectangles with stickles.
This project needed a lot of drying time.
While different parts where drying I played with the patterened paper.
I used parts of torn patterned paper as a background. I also used the cricut to create the letters and numbers for the title, giving them a "shadow" with blue and purple painted cartstock.
Then I took the buttons and traced them on patterned paper. After cutting I used them behind the clear buttons to create coordinating buttons with the paper.
I adhered the alpha stickers on a piece of cardstock and cut them with a little border. I painted the edges black so they stood out more. Then I used a small circle punch to punch the flower centers out of the patterned paper.
I cut four rectangles from heavy cardboard to go as a mat for the photo's.
I painted them white and painted the sides with purple and paint.
After everything has dried it's time to put your project together.
Start with adhering the black and white photo's (these were edited in Adobe's Lightroom) to the white mat. Add wings behind the mat on the right height. Adhere the pieces of dictionairy on the backside below the wings.
Put the patterned paper with a slight tilt on the cardboard, then add the picture with wings and dictionairy parts (again with a slight tilt).
Adhere the crowns on the picture itself and the buttons also on the the picture in the lower corner.
Add the alpha's with the clips and finish decorating by adhering the flowers (I adhered the small patterned paper circles with gluedots, then used some stickles on the flower leaves) and the wooden hearts and butterflies.
Now it's time to adhere the whole project on your memoboard. Please remember to leave enough space for the name / title at the bottom.
I adhered the year's on the pieces of dictionairy, added ribbon to put it all together.

HOW TO
Frontpage
Cut the orange felt about 1 cm larger than the size of the chipboard. Adhere it and decorate with fabric, ribbons, letters and a flower (selfmade with crepepaper).
The first page is covered with fabric (the same way you did the front cover). Then emboider a frame around the outer edge.
On the second page, cut the chipboard card in two pieces and adhere the papers and ribbon. On the left page, stamp the message stamp with black ink. For the right page cut a 'bread tag' using the Cricut. Add your photo and adhesive tape.
For the third page mount chipboard die-cuts from the Art Warehouse, type Harlequin. Smudge it with the orange ink or paint it. Make the dots with the blue soufflepen. Adhere the fabric on the left side, then the moult and the black flower. For the right side adhere the paper, photo, frame, rub on letters and embellishments.
The fourth page is made with old paper, papers, ribbons, a piece of KI pop culture, used as a tab.
Cut the chipboard card on the sixth page into two pieces, at the horizontal line with the pinking scissors. The journaling spot is made on a piece of transperancy, stamped using Staz On Ink.
The letters on the seventh page are made using the Cricut with the Base Camp Cartridge. Add the journaling pads from the Creative Cafe (Creative Imaginations).
For page 8, hand cut a crown a craft knife. Using the cut piece as a template, draw the crown on the fabric (the same size as the page), and cut it out. Adhere the fabric on the page.
The nineth page uses the same crown as a template again, but this time it is used on cardstock.
The last pages are made the same way as the first.
Finally, make 4 holes in each page. When making these holes be sure to check placement on each card before punching. You need to be sure that the pages that were cut in half are independent from each other.

Sunshine Coast

Today's layout from Giselle uses the new BasicGrey Boxer line. The colors of the paper matches perfectly with the atmosphere of her photos.

HOW TO

Print a photo measuring 2.5" x 3" and hand cut a 'window' frame shape from the photo paper to fit over it.
Glue the photo to the back of the frame.
Ink a Grungeboard flourish shape first with brown and then with blue ink, dabbing to give a mottled finish.
Colour the title letters in the same way matching the brown hues of the patterned paper.
Cut a strip of Boxer paper measuring 11" x 3.5", tear & ink the lower edge.
Glue this to the background cardstock approximately 4" from the top edge.
Add a 6" x 4" photo 1.5" from the top edge and 1" from the left edge.
Attach the framed photo at an angle to the right of the main photo.
Glue the Grungeboard to the left of the photo with pvc adhesive.
Stamp the 7 Gypsies circular dots in 3 places, as shown, using a scrap of paper to mask parts of the image.
Add a circular die-cut shape to the top stamped image & a flower die-cut to the centre.
Attach the title using pvc adhesive & hand write the journalling.
